Hebrew is the Holy Language, chosen by God to reveal the Holy Scriptures in. Whether you are young or old, Jew or Christian, what could be more worthwhile than spending time learning the Holy Language? This web site will help you to do that. There are many interesting and informative lessons which will help you to learn the Hebrew language and the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible). There is no better place to start.

History of Hebrew

Animation showing an ancient Hebrew documentThis group of lessons is on the history of Hebrew, starting at the beginning of Creation, and ending up in the kingdom age, when Hebrew will be spoken by all nations of the earth and Jerusalem will be the future capital of the world. Along the way, you will learn about the Tower of Babel, Hebrew in the time of the kings of Israel and Judah, Hebrew in New Testament times, Mishnaic Hebrew, as well as Modern Hebrew.



 

Hebrew Alphabet

There are some introductory lessons if you are completely new to Hebrew, and a separate web page for each letter of the Hebrew Alphabet. There are many resources and ideas for expanding your knowledge and practical suggestions on how to gain reading experience.
