We have seen that Hebrew has a long history, stretching from the six days of Creation, through Adam and Eve, through the patriarchs and matriarchs of Israel, through Moses, through Joshua and David to become the recognised language of the land of Canaan, through the time of the prophets, through the time of Yeshua, right through the past two thousand years of history, to finally become the language as it is spoken in Israel today.

In the Hebrew language the curse was pronounced on Adam and Eve; in Hebrew the promises were made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; in Hebrew Saul, David and Solomon ruled the kingdom of God on earth; in Hebrew the prophets pronounced warnings and pleadings to a proud and unrepentant Israel; in Hebrew the hope of Israel has been kept alive for two thousand years, and life was breathed into Hebrew again as God gathered His people back to their land before the time of the end.

Hebrew has always been the language of the Tanakh. When God sets up His kingdom on the earth, so long foretold by the prophets, Hebrew will be the language that is spoken. The establishment of the Kingdom and the coming of the Messiah will undo the confusion of languages that happened at the Tower of Babel. Let us consider the words of Zephaniah:

Zephaniah 3:9;For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.

Hebrew will soon resume its place as the language spoken by the nations of the world. Old men and old women shall dwell at peace in the streets of Jerusalem, and the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof (Zechariah 8:4-5). Hebrew will be the language they will speak.

Isaiah 2:3;And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

That word of the Lord will go forth out of Jerusalem in Hebrew. Isn't it time you learned Hebrew and studied the Law, to prepare yourself for this coming age? Isn't it time you learned for yourself the Joys of Hebrew?
